Information to book The Warwicks 14-18
If you have an event you would like to book us for or wish to talk about use in Film, TV, Theatre or Training please get in touch via the contact form giving as much information as possible. Our membership has vast experience of living history, re-enactment, film & TV work and military service. (If we don't know we will most likely know someone who can help).
We hold full PLI and Risk Assessments available on request.
These are genuine frequently asked questions:
Q: What can you provide?
A: Either static Tommies and/or a full camp. Both can include set talks and demonstrations to your visitors as required.
Q: Do you stay on site?
A: Yes, if you want a period tented camp we will remain living on site for the duration of the event.
Q: What do you require whilst at my event?
A: Somewhere suitable to pitch tents (20mx20m min), toilets and clean drinking drinking water. Also secure parking nearby for our personal vehicles. We are otherwise self contained.
Q: We can’t provide space or don’t require a tented camp but have a 2 day event.
A: Whilst we wouldn’t expect a hotel, some form of suitable secure after hours living/sleeping area would be appreciated e.g. Village Hall or similar.
Q: Do you do battle re-enactments?
A: No, we demonstrate tactics and drills as per the correct period manuals. These can contain blank firing and pyrotechnics.
Q: Do you hire uniforms, kit and equipment?
A: Sorry, no. Everything is bought and owned by individual members. We can put you in touch with costume/prop hire companies to obtain accurate items.
Q: Can we join in with you for the day?
A: Whilst we welcome new members our insurance does not cover ad-hoc participation.
Q: Is there a fee if I’m booking you for my event?
A: Yes, we may charge a fee to cover group costs, insurance, food, wear & tear on camp equipment. There will be a charge for blank firing and pyrotechnics. Please contact us for details.
Q: You aren’t doing an event on a certain date so why aren’t you available for my event?
A: All our members are volunteers (it’s our hobby) and have day jobs/families/holidays. This means we may not be able to attend.
Q: Are your rifles real?
A: Yes, we use Section 1 or Shotgun classified rifles. Members hold appropriate certificates and training. Other weapons are de-activated or replicas.
Q: Can you conduct training for actors?
A: Yes, we can advise and offer basic training to actors collectively or as individuals. We do not loan or hire kit but can advise where to obtain the correct items for your production. Please contact us for details.
